When designing, I find myself returning to this notion of metamorphosis: the courage to shed, to dissolve, to risk the unknown in order to emerge with renewed vision. My cocoon installation draws directly from this imagery, embodying both the vulnerability and potential of transformation. The cocoon is not only a sanctuary of protection but also a crucible of change, where uncertainty gives way to possibility. By extending this concept into my fashion designs, I aim to capture the tension between containment and liberation silhouettes that wrap and enclose, yet hint at the form waiting to break free. In this way, metamorphosis becomes more than a natural process; it is a philosophy of creativity, reminding me that to create is to transform, and that every work holds within it the possibility of flight and this is further exemplified in my designs reflecting my own metamorphosis.
